Former Saddleback student to face pretrial

Former Saddleback College student Ashton Sachs was scheduled a pretrial hearing by judge Craig E. Robison for July 25, 2014,  in the Harbor Justice Center.

Sachs is to be held without bail under charges of alleged murder of his parents.

“There’s a lot of things I’d want to say, but I can’t… It’s an ongoing investigation,” Sachs’ aunt said. She would not give her name.

The murder also resulted in Sachs’s brother becoming paralyzed.

During the time of the murder, Sachs had been attending school in Seattle.

“All we knew was he was a good kid,” his aunt said. “He was fine until he went to Seattle, that’s what we noticed.”
