The first lecture of this year’s Science Lecture Series, on fetal lung development at high altitudes, will take place at Saddleback College on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in room 313 of the Science and Mathematics building.

The series provides students with the opportunity to learn about a variety of topics with scientific value and meet well-known scientists, according to the college’s website.

The event spans over an hour and a half including an open discussion following the lecture. Food and prizes are available at some lectures.
