Car fire causes traffic for students on Interstate 5

A car fire caused a dangerous hazard for drivers on the Interstate 5 North approaching Avery Parkway.

At approximately 11 a.m. on September 1, 2010, the unidentified driver of a black Chevy Trail Blazer pulled to the side of the road when the car overheated and caught fire.

Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after and extinguished the large fire.

At this time there have been no reported injuries.
