The Valentine-themed Club Rush and “The Love Movement” event will be taking place in the Student Services Quad from 11:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. today.

The event will be hosted by the Inter-Club Council. Saddleback College clubs will set up tables and chairs in the Quad for the purpose of recruiting students to their club.

Also to be featured is a “free hugs” booth, a photo booth and members of the Associated Student Government handing out Valentine’s.

Nina Alavi, a 19-year-old sophomore and member of ASG, is hosting “The Love Movement.”

With the upcoming holiday circulated around the idea of love… I noticed that people, especially women, are hardest on themselves during Valentine’s Day,” Alavi said. “I wanted to hold a small event that took little time out of the day for everyone to simply share one thing that they love about themselves. I feel like such a simple and small reminder to ourselves is vital because I feel to love others, you must first love yourself, therefore creating a love movement.”
