Laura’s House advocates speaking out against domestic violence

The end of “Domestic Violence in our Community” was presented by Women’s and Gender Studies advisory committee and Laura’s house yesterday in Student Services Center 212 .

Laura’s house is an organization whose mission is to “[change] social beliefs, attitudes and the behaviors that perpetuate domestic violence while creating a safe space [to] empower individuals and families affected by abuse,” according to their mission statement.

Marissa Presley spoke about her experiences of domestic abuse and she advocated the end silence domestic violence.
