Ken Lee, assistant professor horticulture and landscape design, will be running in the Oct. 13 Long Beach Marathon to gather  pledges to support the proposed Saddleback College Arboretum Trail project.

Lee will be wearing a T-shirt designed by the graphic design department for advertisement of the trail project.

Pledges can be made to the foundation in three ways; $1 for each mile completed, $20 if finished (and additional $5 if finished in four hours) and an extra $5 if able to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

This will be Lee’s second marathon. The first was Los Angeles in March where he finished in 4 hours, 27 minutes.

His hope is to increase awareness for the project to the college community as well as the surrounding area that will also benefit from the proposed trail.
