World Surf League’s Qualifying Series returns to Lowers

The World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) is returning to San Clemente, California, after a 2-year-lapse to host the 2015 Oakley Lowers Pro at Lower Trestles from April, 28 to May, 2.

Lowers renowned cobblestone bottom beach will be host to 96 of the world best competing surfers, including 23 championship tour (CT) competitors some of which include Kelly Slater, Felipe Toledo, Jordy Smith and San Clemente native Kolohe Andino.

Surfers will be competing for a $250,000 first place prize and 10,000 qualifying series points, which will come in handy when qualifying for the 2016 World Championship Tour.

Lowers world famous point break will surely produce a large display of highly progressive surfing among the worlds best surfers.
