The Saddleback College Juried Student Art Exhibition will return this year on April 30–May 13. The exhibition and competition features work from over 80 Saddleback students; the pieces were selected from over 400 submitted entries.

The selected artwork, which will cover areas in studio art, mixed media, photography, and graphic design, will be on display in the Saddleback College Art Gallery for two weeks. The exhibit also includes works in drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry, sculpture, and more.

An awards ceremony will be held during the Pot-luck Artists Reception on Thursday, April 30. Award winners will receive cash rewards and certificates for the best pieces in four different categories: two-dimensional arts, three-dimensional arts, photography and jewelry design. A “Best of Show” award will also be given for the top work in each category.
“I know the work that did get in,” said Bob Rickerson, the director of the SBC Art Gallery. “But I am not saying who the winners are until the artists reception awards ceremony.”

The ceremony is free and will last from 6-9 p.m. Food will be served until 7 p.m., with the awards ceremony directly following.
