Don McKinney and his abstract artwork will be featured at the Saddleback Art Gallery from Aug. 30 to Sept. 13.

The exhibit will feature McKinney’s paintings owned by private collectors as well as originals that will be available for sale.

“You will get to meet the artist and some of his collectors,” Saddleback Art Gallery Director Bob Rickerson said.

McKinney’s abstract paintings are known for their large scale and intense explorations of colors, light and movement. McKinney was named number 32 in the California Contemporary Art Journal’s “50 California Artists You Should Know.”

The artist’s reception for “3 Transitions: Work Over Time”, will be held on opening night at 7 p.m. The reception will offer food, wine, and music.
